    Position Preview
    The Head of Talent champions the company’s efforts to attract, train, support, and retain the best staff. This leader will focus on motivating and engaging valued teammates and leaders, aligning them with the company’s culture and building the knowledge and abilities of each individual to ensure they have the skills they need to do their job. The Head of Talent helps each company teammate develop and achieve their potential, so both the Company and the teammate can succeed and grow. This hands-on, talent development leader will create talent objectives with a focus on teammate engagement, retention, performance management, and succession planning. The Head of Talent will also help to process and bring structure to create a centralized HR function.
     
    Responsibilities
    • Develop organization strategies by identifying and researching HR issues
    • Implement HR strategies by establishing department accountabilities and role responsibilities
    • Create teammate-oriented programs to positively impact change and teammate engagement
    • Drive change by developing and strategically leading teammates and/or change management initiatives including business transformations, organization design/evolution/development, and issues surrounding Diversity and Inclusion
    • Design customized talent development plans based on individual business needs including measurement systems for learning and development strategy.
    • Build relationships and stay engaged with the executive team and managers in order to understand talent strengths and gaps and help formulate career growth and succession plans that will retain and engage key talent and build bench strength for the organization
    • Work closely with the executive team and department/vertical managers to develop and deploy an integrated talent management strategy, encompassing front line to C-level employee
    • Create teammate-oriented programs to positively impact change and employee engagement
     
    Experience
    • 8+ years of proven experience as an HR leader and 5+ years of experience managing people and/or processes
    • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and/or advanced certification (s) including the SPHR, APTD or CPLP
    • Strong background in creating and executing a talent strategy, talent planning, organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, and learning & development
    • Proven track record in management and navigation in a matrix organization and in building collaborative relationships with all levels of leaders and teammates
    • Ability to adapt quickly to new information, requirements, and priorities, and can make timely decisions in difficult and ambiguous situations
    • Exceptional written, oral, and multimedia communicator skills
