Position Preview
Licensed Senior Project Architect with 10 or more years of commercial architecture experience; responsible for architectural project production functions, client relationships and manages all aspects of project work-flow and staffing. Must mentor, teach and direct staff. Reports to the principal and/or partner. Commercial ground up projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare project work schedules, monitor progress and production budgets.
- Prepare budgets and proposals for new work, including request for proposal preparation and coordination with consultants.
- Determine consultants necessary for new projects (spec writers, MPE, structural, soil borings, etc.)
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, consultants, governmental authorities, contractors and management related to daily business operations.
- Ensure accurate preparation of project construction documents. Coordinate and communicate with the client, consultants and team members for the preparation of documents.
- Initiate / attend meetings with clients, consultants and city officials as necessary. Make presentations to clients, governing bodies, etc. as necessary.
- Schedule and prioritize multiple project teams and adjust work accordingly, based upon project deadlines.
- Direct the preparation and distribution of Meeting Minutes and required actions.
- Assure meeting follow-up in a timely manner.
- Assure and document Building and Zoning Code review and compliance.
- Assure and document QA/QC review and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture or in a related field (construction or engineering).
- Self Storage projects a plus!
- NCARB licensed or have the ability to sit for the exam within 6 months of hire.
- Strong preference given to proven Business Development skills.
- Client interactions, face-to-face meeting and relationship management skills are a MUST HAVES.
- Proficiency with relevant computer programs, including: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office.
- Suite, Microsoft Project and Adobe Acrobat and adhere to office standards and filing systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exhibit excellent, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations and vendors.
Compensation and Benefits
Depends on experience and certifications
- Base Salary Range $80,000 - $100,000
- Bonus Negotiable
