    Position Preview 
    The Director of Sales & Marketing develops and implements the sales and marketing strategy for the USA, based upon the general US business plan. He/she ensures the company’s sales goals are met, manages the US Sales and Marketing teams and directs the execution of sales and marketing plans and initiatives.  He/she provides full support to the Area Manager, optimizes processes as they relate to Sales and Marketing and partners with other departments as needed to ensure smooth transactions and workflow. This position requires the ability to travel 50% of the time (nationally/internationally). 

    Responsibilities 
    • Strategy
      • Determine and put in place the US sales and marketing strategy in line with the US business plan and overall Group strategy.
      • Directly responsible for the company’s revenue
      • Recommend strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses. Provide market feedbacks to the company’s owners and management team with respect to competitive offerings, prospect needs, other factors affecting our regions, our market or market segments, with recommendations for improvements/changes
      • Participate with the Management team in strategic planning, and formulating long-term business plans 

    • Business Development
      • Develop, and implement growth opportunities while keeping margins and costs under control 
      • Ensure our marketing efforts lead to maximum ROI 
      • Build strategically our sales team and showroom presence nationwide
      • Identify and grow selected “niche” market opportunities 
      • Develop our House Account network nationwide as needed/appropriate  
      • Manage key customer relationships and personally close strategic opportunities, travelling as needed 
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Partners 

    • Sales Management
      • Manage and direct the execution of sales and marketing plans and initiatives both locally and nationally
      • Have the end responsibility for the company’s revenue
      • Price offer & discount approval, opportunity and quote follow-up, CRM usage
      • Define, analyze and optimize all processes and system applications as they relate to Sales and Marketing
      • Prepare detailed and accurate sales forecast and sales budget 
      • Ensure the execution of the Sales and Marketing plans according to budget
      • Develop and execute strategies for lead generation, sales, pricing, and other matters related to revenue generation
      • Make sure that customers and agents are well informed of our product offering: training agents and specifiers, introduction of new products and catalogs
      • Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction 
      • Provide Management with reports as needed

    • Team Management
      • Manage, coach, supervise and monitor the Sales and Marketing team members
      • Set clear goals and objectives for each team member: define their individual sales goals, bonus structure and action plans and track their progresses and performance
      • Define, implement and monitor the KPI’s, KPI Dashboard as well as an efficient meeting structure.
      • Ensure an optimum performance of all team members on an individual basis using analysis of performance indicators and following up on their individual action plans.
      • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
      • Stay abreast of day-to-day issues of the sales team, follow up to ensure solutions are achieved; partner with other departments as needed to ensure smooth transactions and workflow. 
      • Define and oversee incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets 
      • Handle employee and performance reviews including bonus calculation

    • Cross-departmental cooperation
      • Share all relevant knowledge with other departments
      • Take initiative to improve cross departmental collaboration in terms of procedures and processes when they relate to Sales and Marketing

    Qualifications 
    • Bachelor's degree and equal experience in business, design, marketing, or similar fields.
    • 10+ years’ experience in sales management/business development
    • Ability to travel – 50% of the time (nationally/internationally) 
    • Experience managing territory-based sales team 
    • Strong negotiation skills 
    • Strong organizational and people management skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
    • Fluent in English, Spanish a plus 
    • Knowledge and experience with a CRM software 

    Compensation and Benefits
    • Competitive Annual Salary, Range $130,000 - $170,000 (Based on experience & certifications)
    • Bonus Structure – Up to $45,000 a year
