Position Preview
The Architectural Design Coordinator will coordinate structural work, prepare estimates, interpret plans and inspect construction sites. This individual will need a solid understanding of architectural design theories and understanding of construction documentation. A highly collaborative and technical individual will be successful in this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct design and review meetings with high end clientele
- Produce construction documents using Revit
- Assist with plan submittals for ACC/ARC/HOA approval and/or city/county permitting authorities
- Perform the Takeoff/Bidding process
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure budgeting for specification production, and coordinate scheduling and production of project specifications
- Function as a technical resource for material and product evaluations and selections
- Maintain proficiency in construction products, techniques and sequences by staying abreast of product developments, new materials, code changes, and current industry trends
- Prepare Revit site plans for Architectural Project Manager by compiling surveys/elevation certificates, FEMA maps, soils reports, deed restrictions, and permitting requirements
- Prepare electrical layouts for review by Architectural Project Manager.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines – phases, milestone deliveries and various project delivery types
- Review in-progress drawings, ensuring complete and coordinated technical specifications and offering modifications and improvements when appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field (Architecture preferred)
- Min 3 years post-grad in design and construction, preferably residential
- Tech savvy including proficiency in Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD
- Knowledgeable to create and manipulate Macros in Revit is a plus
- Mandarin speaking
Compensations and Benefits
Depends on experience, certifications and portfolio.
- Annual Base Salary, range $75,000 - $90,000
