The Senior Interior Designer is a self-directed leader, responsible for development, implementation and creation of project design concepts from mid-size to large size projects. The Senior Interior Designer provides design continuity and leadership through the entire project by developing the initial design concept and coordinating with other team members to further develop design concepts through schematic design, design development, and construction phases. This candidate is expected to demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment within leadership groups and client presentations. It is essential for this team member to pass knowledge to others and support a continuous learning environment. Team-building and motivation are key responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Interior Design or equivalent
- Min 7 years design experience - residential projects
- NCIDQ Required | State License Preferred
- AutoCAD: 3+ years’ experience
- Adobe Photoshop: 3+ years’ experience
- Google Sketch-up intermediate proficiency
- Microsoft Office expert proficiency
- Revit (preferred)
- Excellent presentation skills in small/large group setting and/or via virtual conference calls
- Finely tuned and tasteful eye for color, texture and pattern
- Able to research, prepare and present color and material concepts in a tasteful and unique format along with space plans, elevations and details
- Expert technical knowledge for creating specifications and installation coordination of FF& E furnishings, decorative lighting, and other related interior design contract documents
- Models a highly organized approach to the design process resulting in on time, on budget deliverables
- Client management skills, proactive solutions and critical thinking
- Negotiation experience
- Advanced experience with interiors to ensure professional and timely delivery of interior FF&E schedules, budgets and interior construction documents for multiple interior design projects
- Ability to manage and delegate/review multiple priorities while consistently achieving high standards and goals
- Leadership skills; proven experience in motivating and inspiring others is essential
- Knowledgeable on appropriate costs, budgeting and estimating techniques for FF&E and finish materials

Compensation and Benefits
Depends on experience, certifications and portfolio.
- Annual Base Salary: Range $75,000 - $90,000
