Job Overview
The Senior Ad Operations Manager is responsible for the monetization and technical launch of all new sites. They will also serve as the primary point of contact for Sales and Account Management for troubleshooting. Additionally, they will work closely with all programmatic partners to scale the partnership, as well as to resolve any tactical requests.
Challenges and Opportunities for the position
One the one hand, the Senior Ad Ops Manager will work closely with Account Management and Sales to ensure smooth launch of new sites, and quick resolution of technical issues. On the other hand, this person will maintain and grow relationships with existing programmatic partners, as well as vetting new ones.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Previous experience in AdTech is a must
- Manage advertiser budget and bid setup
- Launch new and manage changes for all types of ad campaigns
- Conduct quality assurance and continuous optimization of campaign performance and scale
- First level troubleshooting and assisting Account Management with reporting requests
- Perform end to end tracking test and work with Support Engineers to resolve issues
- Communicate your ideas for improvement for our ad serving platform
- Maintain and update workflow checklists to ensure optimal configuration and setup
- Oversee day-to-day operations of programmatic sales business
- Support sales teams in setup, execution and troubleshooting of programmatic campaigns
- Design and implement processes, systems and best practices for ad operations, inventory & yield, sales, and account management
- Responsible for integrations between programmatic platforms/sales and ad serving systems
- Stay up to date on the evolving programmatic marketplace and make recommendations to increase yield and streamline process
- Manage, mentor and train programmatic ad operations team on best practices and latest innovations
Qualifications
Professional competencies
- 5+ years Ad Ops experience, specifically with DFP
- 3+ years experience with programmatic Header Bidding, particularly setting up PMPs
- DMP experience and selling data experience is a plus
- Experience working with DSPs, SSPs and other publisher-side programmatic platforms
- Ability to debug bid responses on page and inspect element to isolate integration issues
- Well versed in ad server and SSP reporting to troubleshoot performance issues
- Experience in on boarding new demand partners, including approvals, trafficking, ads.txt and reporting
- DMP and Audience segment management preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: especially pivot tables
