Job Overview
The Senior Publisher Account Manager should effectively manage and scale the relationship with all clients from the launch of the partnership. This involves scheduling regular calls with the client, recommending opportunities for performance improvement and serving as the first point for any troubleshooting inquiries. The role also involves ideating, executing and iterating processes in order to improve the overall account management workflow. Additionally, the senior account manager will help facilitate network-wide outreach for ads.txt, product updates and QBRs. The role requires tracking performance closely for all clients so that we are always prepared to maximize performance for our clients. The Senior Publisher Account Manager must be capable of working with remote teams for execution of tasks as well as collaborate with sales team in an effort to further educate them on the Account Management/Ad Ops workflow.
Challenges and Opportunities for the position
Our customers are our number one priority, and it is critical that we are managing those relationships while also handling their requests in a timely manner and scaling out the partnership. It is important to maintain a high level of commitment for every client, which requires a lot of organization given our scale. There is a big opportunity to spearhead the management of existing Account Management processes and make improvements to overall workflow.
Responsibilities and Duties.
- Previous experience in programmatic advertising or digital publishing serving as an account manager
- Organize and conduct regular calls with all clients for purpose of maintaining and scaling out partnerships
- Perform regular email outreach to all clients, including ads.txt updates and performance optimization requests
- Conduct quality assurance and continuous optimization of campaign performance and scale
- Successfully troubleshooting client issues, ranging from basic technical issues to using internal reporting to resolve issues
- Manage advertiser block & reporting requests for publishers
- Conduct QBRs with all clients
- Facilitate regular client calls for product feedback
- Relay and track feature requests to product team
- Ideate and implement processes to improve AM workflow
- Conduct regular cross-departmental trainings to better educate other Insticator teams on workflows to increase communication to improve our services
- Host Client Meetings, Events & Outings to improve our partnership
Qualifications.
Professional competencies
- 3+ years experience in digital advertising Account Management, preferably with Publisher-facing background
- Experience using and pulling reporting in ad servers, specifically Google Ad Manager
- Experience working with DSPs, SSPs and other publisher-side programmatic platforms
- Proven track record of client retention and scaling out client relationships
- Ability to create organized processes and track successful execution
- Experience working directly with remote, international team members and vendors team a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: especially pivot tables
- Experience Hosting Client Meetings, Events & Outings
