We’re looking for an expert who is passionate about analytics, understands how to drive sales on all our ecommerce platforms and can work across a diverse number of brands, product categories and e-com retailers.
The E-Commerce Sales Manager will be responsible for all aspects of item set-up [pre-and post-launch on B2B sites such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Wayfair, Overstock, Zulily etc.] in addition to ongoing maintenance for all Sku’s. This individual will manage numerous merchant and vendor relationships to ensure timelines and expectations are being met as it relates to product launches, marketing campaigns, inventory management and ongoing account management. The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ experience performing high quality item setup with large online retailers, has an excellent track record for successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and has a very strong background in Excel.
Job Description:
- Provide direct assistance to E-Commerce Account Managers for wholesale accounts and direct-to-consumer website
- Center of Excellence for Data Driven Results – Weekly/Monthly sales analysis, projections, and analysis of marketing initiatives
- Covering the Basics – You are a specialist in item set up and understand the importance of implementing an always evolving strategy on SEO driven content, images, reviews, detail pages and brand consistency.
- Assist in management of promotional calendar for accounts, coordinating with internal teams (Accounting, Planners, Marketing) to ensure smooth execution.
- Work closely with Account Managers to help prepare for meetings by providing data for PowerPoint presentations, samples etc.
- Work closely with Account Managers to manage budget and forecasting by account.
- Assist in resolving account order issues and management of retail pricing across all accounts
- Special Projects and other duties as needed or assigned
- Partner with buying and creative teams to ensure product page set-up aligns with strategic intent by maintaining and updating site standards of page creation.
- Review the provided styling direction, requested photography and features and benefits of new products to ensure that customers receive the most accurate depiction of our products to make an informed purchase.
- Create and maintain product style guides in collaboration with Assistant Merchandise Manager to navigate new products into site categories, based on product attributes and known customer shopping behaviors.
- Conduct regular on-site testing for accurate product navigation and proactively identify and correct issues that surface.
- Track products featured in marketing exposures to ensure availability for purchase.
- Responsible for maintenance of product navigation, as necessary
- Curate and sequence categories as needed.
- Attend weekly meetings with Buying and Planning teams to review site performance and merchandising opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of competitive landscape and identify trends in the marketplace to make recommendations for site updates.
- Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate with internal teams and retail accounts to ensure all assets [copy and imagery] are delivered by deadline
- Identify opportunities to expand and improve our online presence through item setup [including content layout, SEO, social promotions, branding opportunities etc.]
- Manage numerous merchant and vendor relationships to ensure timelines and expectations are being met
- Improve item level data quality by implementing data audits to all categories [aka ongoing catalog scrubs]
- Analyze site metrics, customer feedback and other related data to identify opportunities to improve conversion rate and drive revenue growth across product categories
- Performs in depth product research online [comp shopping] to create ongoing recommendations for improvement and continued growth
- Manages collection and implementation of all forecasting and selling information
- Manage P&L for E-commerce team across all active E-com accounts. Responsible for driving and tracking top line sales forecasts and account profitability.
- Monitor sales and inventory of all Ecommerce partners operational performance. Partner with operations and finance to set standards and minimize chargebacks. Review chargebacks and lead communication to settle disputes and discrepancies.
- Negotiate trading terms and ‘on-board’ new e-commerce partners.
- Mentor and manage direct report to deliver profitable sales growth for their accounts.
Qualifications and Skills
- A clear understanding and practical experience working with ecommerce retailers.
- Experience working with ecommerce platforms.
- Numbers driven, analytical with well-developed organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly in Excel [pivot tables, v-lookup, simple formula building, etc.
- Comfortable working with large amounts of data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
Marketing
- Write copy for website and digital content to ensure verbiage is engaging and reflects brand voice.
- Write brand copy for print and sales as requested.
- Collaborate with creative team to brainstorm and develop a variety of content and marketing materials.
- Act as a liaison on projects between graphic design, e-commerce, marketing, and sales.
