This hybrid position has BA components needed to complete the work, but the majority of the job encompasses financial analysis that contains brainstorming, designing, and implementing an asset management system, which they are responsible for moving forward.
 
This position is for a Software Asset Manager who has process-oriented thinking who can both create and then run with the process they’ve created.   This is a highly visible role where this person is responsible for completing tasks with increasing complexity, which require detailed analysis and research.  Creative and independent decision-making is needed for this someone to thrive in this role.  This individual is part of a team that purchases hardware and software on behalf of the organization, with a specific focus on software.   An example of some of the responsibilities includes making sure that the proper licenses are in place before they authorize a user to install a piece of software.  Additionally, this person will lead the annual true-ups of OCIO’s Microsoft Agreement.
 
The person selected for this role will exhibit creative and independent decision-making skills as they are responsible for successfully completing tasks with increasing complexity that require detailed analysis and research for making measured and accurate decisions.  
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•           Develop, document, and manage the IT business processes associated with assets and license management as well as those associated with buying of goods and services for the OCIO and participating agencies.  This position requires the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
•           Work in conjunction with the OCIO contract managers to develop, document, and manage the procurement of goods and services for the OCIO and participating agencies.
•           Process, monitor, and track IT financial transactions of the OCIO.
•           Analyze the IT business, budget, and financial trends of the OCIO
•           Create and delivery reports to OCIO management on the IT business, budget, and financial trends of the OCIO
•           Ability to complete assignments timely and submit weekly status reports indicating progress of assigned tasks, performance against assigned project due dates, and identification and suggested resolution for issues having a potential to adversely impact performance and/or the project.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
•           Experience developing, documenting & managing IT business processes associated with asset & license management 
•           Experience developing, documenting & managing IT business processes related to buying of goods and services  
•           Experience working with contract managers to co-develop, document, and manage the procurement of products and services  
•           Experience Processing, monitoring, and tracking IT financial transactions  
•           Experience Analyzing IT business, budget and financial trends  
•           Experience creating and delivering reports to management on the IT business, budget, and financial trends
