Who we are looking for:

Info Tech is seeking an enterprise level Systems Administrator to provide architectural and big picture oversight for Info Tech’s network, security systems, servers and storage infrastructure and cloud platforms. We are looking for a highly experienced IT professional who guides internal team members, customers, and leadership to better decisions related to infrastructure development. 

As a Systems Administrator, you will evaluate and continuously improve the performance of proposed and existing infrastructure architectures through a combination of technical visioning, technical leadership, and strategic planning. You will also help set and execute the strategy and technology utilized within our teams, guiding the implementation of the most appropriate architecture(s), promoting standards and best practices, and offering support and guidance for other team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Builds, supports and maintains Info Tech’s network, security systems, servers and storage infrastructure (both virtual and physical) and cloud platforms.
  • Develops and refines server, network and security policies for system and network users.
  • Creates backup and retrieval policies and assigns bulk storage.
  • Documents post-incident response and root cause analysis and helps build and maintain IT knowledge base with thorough documentation of issue resolution.
  • Communicates regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure system integrity and security.
  • Performs extensive programming and script writing.
  • Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes phone, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from Info Tech employees experiencing problems with servers, OSs, phones, software applications and other computing systems.
  • Provides expertise, direction and assistance to fellow team members.
  • Reviews new and existing system design projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensures that proposed and existing infrastructure architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 4 years’ relevant experience, or associates degree and 4 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications  
  • 5-6 years of experience in system administration, IT support, IT management, database administration or application administration and/or using or administering operating systems.
  • CCNP certifications or equivalent experience.
  • 5-6 years of experience with Cisco Networking Products/Equipment

Technical Skills
  • Public Cloud platforms: AWS and Azure; at an enterprise-level
  • Network and VOIP systems: Cisco Switches, Cisco routers, Cisco ASAs, Cisco WLAN controllers, Cisco Identity Services Engine and Cisco phone systems
  • Microsoft and Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office 365, G-Suite, and other business applications
  • Data and storage management: Netapp
  • Virtual infrastructure: VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificate authorities (CA), and System Center Configuration Manager

Other Requirements
  • Info Tech’s IT department hours operate Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm.  This position is also required to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
