eLearnSecurity is seeking an exceptional Instructional Designer to join our global team!
As the Instructional Designer, you will have the unique opportunity to interact and work with IT Security professionals from all around the world, as well as take part in the content development process of our world-renowned courses.
In this position, you will work closely with, and report to, the Training Manager and assist in various projects as needed, as well as:
Project Management:
- Collaborate with the Training Manager to create project plans for course development you will oversee
- Create and maintain supporting project documentation and trackers
- Establish and maintain relationships with all levels in the organization
- Regularly communicate and meet with instructors, IT developers, marketing and leadership about project status
- Ensure that course development is in scope and on track
- Work collaboratively with IT Security instructors, supporting them throughout the project and content development process
- Host end of project retrospectives for continued process improvement
Content Development Process:
- Create, maintain, and update project eLearning, video, lab and syllabus templates
- Design, QA, and produce all content – eLearning, videos, lab manuals and any supplemental course materials
- Apply adult learning principles and best practices in instructional design to all activities
You also have:
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning theory
- 3+ yrs. experience in training facilitation in either face-to-face or webinar environments
- 3+ yrs. hands-on experience as an eLearning developer, using tools like Captivate, Articulate, iSpring
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Strong video creation and editing skills (Camtasia preferred)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Willingness to continually learn and grow
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage workload and multiple projects, and remain on target
It’s not required, but it’d be cool if you had:
- IT, Learning & Development, or Instructional Design degree
- Graphic design skills (Adobe suite)
- IT Security basics
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum Methodology
- Experience using Jira and/or Confluence
