Job Summary:
The Powertrain Model Integration Support is the powertrain interface for a vehicle program supporting the vehicle Model Responsible (MR) and the powertrain Model Integration Manager (MIM).  The responsibilities include, but not limited to, powertrain program management for all integration activities and interface for all issues (cost, timing, program planning, launch support, program resolution, etc.)  The successful candidate must be available for off-hour teleconferences and international travel.
  • Responsible for overseeing, defining and initiating projects.  
  • Required to assign project managers to manage cost, schedule, and performance of component projects, while working to ensure ultimate success and acceptance of the program.  
  • Must ensure continuous alignment of scope and strategic business objective, and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward business result and strategic intent.  
  • Determine and coordinate the sharing of resources among project constituents to benefit the overall success of the program.  
  • Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.  
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks. 
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.  
  • Lead and direct the work of others. 
  • May report directly to a manager or senior manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, or related engineering.
  • Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering in any of the following areas: engine, transmission, driveline, electrification, packaging, adaptation, controls, and calibration.
  • Must exhibit high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides).
  • Capable of representing the powertrain organization as the single point contact.
  • Solid understanding of the product development process.
  • Team building skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, and work with minimal direction (ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance).  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • Master of Business Administration degree.
  • Experience and understanding of the vehicle cost process.
  • Experience with the ER&D roll-up process.
  • Significant knowledge of the automotive industry and competitive benchmarks.
  • Multiple program life cycle experience.
  • International cultural experience with Latin America, Europe, and/or Asia.
