Job Summary:  
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. 
  • Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. 
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. 
  • Leads and directs the work of others. 
  • Responsibilities include program planning, development and maintenance of master timing schedules, project risk assessments, change management, and project integration across the various functional departments. 
  • This position is responsible for program management of all Powertrain Engineering assembly plant end-items (focus on the interfaces with Vehicle Engineering).  

  • The Powertrain Model Integration Manager Support (Large Car & Minivan) will be responsible for managing progress of powertrain activities for future model year applications. 
  • This will include pilot builds and launch support for next generation products. 
  • The incumbent will coordinate project timing across the enterprise and develop both virtual and physical property plans. 
  • The MIM Support will escalate issues and roadblocks promptly and drive issue resolution. 
  • In addition, the MIM Support is responsible for collecting and monitoring inputs for Engineering Research and Development (ER&D) spending, tooling and facilities investment, and will develop and monitor engineering resources per approved spending plan. 
  • The MIM Support will be responsible for providing program status updates to senior and executive leadership
Requirements:
  • BSME or BSEE degree and 
  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project software. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Previous project management experience preferred.
  • Prefer candidates with passion for cars, and hands on experience via Formula SAE, for example.
  • Fundamental understanding of engines and transmissions.
