Head of Community

We’re looking for an experienced, visionary Head of Community to build out our global Druid user community. Your mission will be to make that experience extraordinary.

You’ll be responsible for creating a world-class Druid Community program. This includes implementing an online community, driving regular engagement programs, and enabling local user groups. You’ll redefine what it means to be part of a user community through the unforgettable spaces and experiences you create for members. You’ll work with Support, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams to drive their engagement with the community.

We’ll especially want to talk to you if you’ve created a thriving community for a database, business intelligence, or big data offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead community development team and work together on a day-to-day basis to provide feedback, guide and motivate as well as cultivate relationships across teams to identify and solve issues
  • Own the vision and execution of Druid global user community for customers, partners, and end users.
  • Engage with our most passionate users and industry thought leaders on social media and at local meetups and user conferences.
  • Manage programs (contests, webinars, giveaways) to drive adoption and success with our products.
  • Track metrics to understand community engagement and trends.
  • “Bend the curve” by bringing new solutions to the execution of user community initiatives.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Prior experience building and leading Community organization in similar industry.
  • Excellent teamwork and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with dynamic objectives.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Salesforce or Zendesk Communities experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization and with outside groups.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines and get the most from resources.
  • OLAP, analytics, and metrics experience is a plus.
  • SQL and NoSQL database management familiarity is a plus.
  • BA/BS from a top university; a technical degree is a plus.
