Imply is looking for a dynamic and proactive individual to drive our engagement with the Druid community. You will be responsible for coordination and organization of efforts including meetups and events, outreach and developer programs, social media, and community content. To help accomplish this you will leverage Imply’s engineers, architects, and customers to speak about, teach, and evangelize Druid across the world.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Imply engineers and other technologists from the Druid community to speak and sponsor at meetups and big data user groups in North America, APAC, and EMEA.
- Work with colleagues to advertise, socialize, and drive attendance to events.
- Manage and update community content.
- Measure the size and health of our community and continuously benchmark engagement and satisfaction.
- Drive the ongoing evolution of community web presence and user groups.
- Collaborate with executive staff, marketing, and engineering on our developer content strategy.
- Build and lead the developer community outreach plan, including online community, social channels, meetups, and industry co-marketing opportunities.
- Partner with the engineering team to develop videos and tutorials for the community
- Create world-class developer events that provide developer resources and direct access to use cases and experts.
- Create and manage reporting dashboards and community health metrics.
- Create and manage social media posts referencing the community.
- Take the social media pulse of the community.
Skills and Background:
- Excellent teamwork and written/verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with dynamic objectives.
- Ability to think creatively.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Salesforce or Zendesk Communities experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization and with outside groups.
- Proven ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines and get the most from resources.
- OLAP, analytics, and metrics experience is a plus.
- SQL and NoSQL database management familiarity is a plus.
- BA/BS from a top university; a technical degree is a plus.
