Junior IT Trainer

Job Summary: 
The Junior IT Trainer will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and conducting IT technical training programs according to organizational requirements for new hire and existing employees. The IT Trainer will collaborate with all company departments to deliver user skills-focused training for all computer systems, software and applications, and additional company-wide training programs as needed.  

Job Expectations:
  • Collaborate and communicate with subject matter experts
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct training programs according to organizational requirements for new hires and existing team members
  • Determine course content according to objectives
  • Create multimedia course content (video, presentations, voice narration, etc.)
  • Assist in managing company-wide LMS
  • Arrange for and conduct on-site or virtual training when needed
  • Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements
  • Design, develop, implement, document and continuously improve IT training processes
  • Ensure effective deployment of new technologies and the effective use of learning technologies
  • Become a go-to resource for software and application user questions 
  • Develop peer networks to keep abreast of current thinking
  • Constantly refresh skills and knowledge to stay current with new technologies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude 
  • Proven experience as trainer and knowledge of education, training and development, or instructional design
  • Advanced organizational skills, meeting facilitation, time management, and ability to multi-task 
  • Experience creating and implementing training programs from scratch
  • Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects
  • Outstanding communication skills, comfortable speaking to crowds, ability to communicate effectively with all business leadership; operations, administrative and IT
  • Experience collaborating with others in IT management roles to develop appropriate training content.  
  • Ability to achieve results without necessarily having a reporting relationship
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability and willingness to accept new and different ways of doing things and to accept coaching from manager and other leadership resources.  
  • Ability to rapidly accept and assimilate changes (organization, process, or technology) and quickly focus on achieving post-change results
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing projects and priorities
  • Experience with G Suite applications
  • Experience developing courses with Articulate 360
  • Experience using/managing Absorb LMS
  • eLearning course development, including screencast, video, and audio narration

Experience Requirements: 
Generally requires 1+ years of IT training in the following areas:
  • Applications
  • Software 
  • Computer Systems
  • Curriculum development (presentations, SOPs, manuals, etc..)
  • Defining and implementing training metrics and success targets

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field. Instructional Design certificate a plus
