Main Purpose of Job

We are currently expanding our digital design team and are looking for a Web Developer / Designer with a
passion for coding and a good knowledge of WordPress and similar site building platforms. This role will be
ideal for a recent graduate with an in-depth knowledge of the most up to date technology and coding
languages, who has a love of problem-solving and creating. Joining the company during a period of
significant investment and a key turning point in its history.

The successful candidate be working alongside the Design and marketing Teams and be required to
manage projects including web updates, new website builds, content population plus other roles such as
email marketing, and crafting back end systems. Being within a small team, the successful candidate will
need to be adaptable and willing to learn many different multimedia avenues in a fast-paced
environment.

The role will include developing many public facing media assets and as such a creative eye is important.
Key responsibilities:

• Supporting our Lead Developer and working closely with the design and marketing team
• Efficiently support the build of global websites
• Content population and management of new and existing websites
• Curating and developing back end interfaces
• Creating content for web and social platforms
• Database build and management
• Managing your schedules with your Team to help us deliver exceptional websites and digital design projects on time
• UI design and testing

Skills and experience required:
• Strong understanding and knowledge of WordPress (including custom themes and plugins)
• Strong understanding HTML5 and CSS3
• Understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite in particular Photoshop
• Understanding of responsive web design techniques (eg, Bootstrap)
• Good communication skills as well as being comfortable dealing with clients on a range of levels
• Willingness to learn, open to new ideas and challenging our processes to constantly improve
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify and fix bugs across browsers
• Knowledge of common coding languages such as: JavaScript, jQuery, php etc.

Beneficial but not essential:
• Experience with third-party APIs
• Some use of WooCommerce
• Experience working with luxury product segments
• Visual design aptitude i.e photography, video, graphic design

Terms & Benefits
• 37.5 hour week (Mon-Fri)
• £25,000.00 gross pa
