About the Role:
The Marketing Content Specialist will write and produce various types of downloadable content and will blog regularly, to expand our company’s digital footprint, awareness, subscribers, and gather leads. This role requires exceptional writing and editing skills, thorough research capabilities, high level of attention to detail, and strong project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create 1-2 new/revise existing long-form resources per quarter to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, templates, etc.).
- Write and publish blog posts on an ongoing basis, including topic research, copywriting, editing, keyword optimization, internal linking, etc to support and promote our offers and attract site visitors through search, social media, email, and other channels.
- Develop high-quality and engaging content in a variety of styles for various types of media, including articles, customer spotlights, data sheets, brochures, website pages, emails, social media, etc.
- Proofread and edit content for your team members as needed.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, sales professionals, external influencers, and internal SMEs to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
- Write about technical topics in a clear, conversational style, and consistently research and stay abreast of industry terminology and trends.
- Perform keyword research for new content
- Monitor and adjust content to fit with brand guidelines and initiatives
- Plan and adhere to the content calendar to reflect strategy and availability
- Translate business objectives and strategy into compelling written content for specific audiences.
- Measure the results of content marketing activities
- Convince others that your creative ideas are worth investing time and effort in. This role is at the core of the marketing team, and others will rely on your work every single day.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of marketing communications and/or content writing experience – preferably B2B in the technology, cybersecurity, healthcare, and/or education spaces.
- BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or equivalent working experience.
- A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer, but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
- Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, email, content syndication, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
- Proficiency in marketing automation and blogging software, such as Hubspot and Wordpress, in order to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them (using dynamic workflows) into converted customers.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, SEMRush, Google AdWords, Google Webmaster Tools, CSS, HTML is a plus.
- Hubspot, Google, and/or SEMRush certifications are a plus.
