Hyperallergic is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced marketer to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. In this role, you’ll work across a variety of digital marketing channels, including email, social media (paid and organic), and search to grow and engage our audience across multiple platforms.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills and experience in marketing, project management, data analysis, and optimization techniques. Enthusiasm for visual arts and culture and familiarity with Hyperallergic’s coverage areas are vital to this position.

Primary Duties may include:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive audience growth and engagement
- Create, schedule daily and weekly Email Newsletters
- Post to and monitor a range of social media accounts to increase engagement, followers, and site referrals
- Manage Paid Media campaigns
- Brainstorm search-friendly headlines and social-friendly copy with editors
- Monitor and compile analytics, and work with the publisher to optimize strategy
- Create complementary content to go with stories (intro text, GIFs, images, quotes, etc.)
- Edit, write, and format sponsored partner content (emails, posts, social media)
- Promote community engagement and moderate comments on various platforms
- Analyze campaign data to continuously optimize and improve campaign performance
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of digital marketing experience
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests
- Familiarity with HTML
- Familiarity with Wordpress, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
