Our Director of Operations will be a critical member of our team and will work closely with our CEO to build/scale the internal operations structure that powers every facet of our business. This structure includes oversight of financial, executive, legal, human resources, talent acquisition, and customer success functions. As the company matures, the Director of Operations will hire support staff that help enable the company's growth. This position will evolve into our VP of Operations or play a critical role in selecting and supporting a future candidate.
What you'll do day to day:
- Operations (primary) – Develop and maintain our operating model, collect/measure/analyze KPIs, produce investor deliverables, orchestrate executive meetings (set agenda, take minutes, document action items), and enable communication between internal organizations.
- Finance (primary) – Manage our accounting firm, review produced financial statements, assist with payroll, oversee accounts payable, monitor our automated accounts receivable process, and support finance related tasks.
- Legal (primary) – Assist with general counsel requests to create, process, and/or review stock options, offer letters, internal policies, financing documents, product usage terms, data privacy compliance, and facility leases.
- Human Resources (secondary) – Drive a people-first culture that embraces diversity/demands integrity and transparency/encourages a healthy work-life balance, administer employee benefit programs, develop supporting documentation, plan and organize morale events.
- Talent Acquisition (secondary) – Provide internal organizations the infrastructure and documentation to hire and onboard employees (sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens) while tracking candidate metrics.
- Customer Success (secondary) – Supervise and optimize our customer success team, building a robust and effective feedback loop from end users to the product, growth, and engineering teams.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 6-10 years of progressive experience in finance and operations roles
- Previous experience in early-stage or venture-backed SaaS startups preferred
- Can multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Has outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Is self-motivated and works under very little supervision
- Highly organized, efficient, analytical, and quantitative
