    This job is for you if you enjoy working closely with Loan Officers, Real Estate Agents, and home buyers from the start of the process to close. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks and loan types, ensure loan documentation is complete, and meet performance requirements. In addition to this, data entry is also important to the role and you will have to maintain accurate data in the required databases.

    What Will Be Expected of You
    • Assist Houwzer Realtors and clients with questions, issues, or concerns regarding all relevant aspects of the settlement.
    • Analyze and calculate debt-to-income ratio.
    • Review credit reports and title searches.
    • Order home insurance policies. 
    • Act as liaison to appraisal companies, credit reporting agencies, and title companies.
    • Process a minimum of 20 loans at a time.
    • Review loan files to determine what documentation is required for underwriting.
    • Work with clients to ensure documentation is collected in a timely manner.

    ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS 
    • Volunteer 50 hours per year.
    • Update timesheet weekly for accurate time keeping reporting.
    • Carry out duties in compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines.
    • Comply with all company and site policies and procedures.
    • Remain current in profession and industry trends.
    • Make a positive contribution as demonstrated by:
    • Offering new suggestions for company or process improvement
    • Learning new skills, procedures and processes.
    • Be available for other duties as required.
    • Attend required company meetings.
    • Volunteer 50 hours per year. 

    Education and/or Experience
    High School diploma plus two years of experience as a mortgage processor. Experience processing both conventional and government loans is required, as well as a NMLS license.

    Other Skills, Abilities, or Qualifications
    • Tech-savvy and familiar with CRM software and loan processing applications such as Encompass and CLYX. 
    • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems independently.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Great interpersonal and customer service skills that align with our mission and values.
    • Strong project management skills and a strong attention to detail.
    • The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
    • Successfully complete any regulatory and job training requirements.
    • Enter data accurately into computer using software applications for data entry and word processing as assigned by the company.
    • Advanced expertise in using the Google Suite of applications.
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work and attention to detail without loss to production.
    • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
    • Ability to work in a startup environment and adapt to change.

    Physical Demands
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to feel and touch, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.  
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
