Full Stack Software Developer

Job Description:
HMI is actively seeking an experienced full stack web developer (Vue.js, Sails.js/Node.js) to build user interfaces for mechatronic applications. You do not need to be a UI designer, but rather someone who can take an html design and build everything else that talks to our backend services.

Successful candidates for this position will have the following credentials:
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelors in CS (or higher) with minimum 3 years (or 5 years without degree) working with HTML, javascript, and CSS. We expect someone has supported a deployed solution.
  • In-depth knowledge of Vue.js (or other high level UI framework such as AngularJS or KnockoutJS)
  • Understanding of JQuery and native DOM manipulation
  • Have used Node.js in earnest – i.e. a working implementation that has gone into production
  • Understanding of relational databases (SQL)

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Experience with Sails.js, PostgreSQL, and Bootstrap
  • Understand Agile methodologies (Scrum)
  • Have used ROS before
  • C++ or other backend high level language
  • Experience with analytics chart libraries (ChartJS, Viz.js, etc)
