    ABOUT THE COMPANY

    • Award running, highly successful and fast-growing restaurant group 
    • Company is very well known and has a strong market position and locations.   
    • With the right chef, they expect to be in the 50 best restaurants in Latin America.   
    • 5 restaurant outlets in total, 1 champagne bar (oysters, caviar etc)  1  flagship restaurant serving modern Mediterranian with California influence and 2 smaller casual rustic Italian 
    • Total covers 380 - 400 per day total across the outlets, private events up to 400 with approx 120 - 140 in the main restaurant.
    • The company also owns several other restaurants, a catering company and are opening new concepts.  
    • The restaurant group has a large in-house corporate team with HR, Marketing department, reservations department, events department etc.  Similar team size to a hotel

    WHY THE POSITION IS OPEN

    For the past 5 years the restaurants had a 2 Michelin star chef from Italy consulting and who put his own number 2 chef in to run things onsite.   The company then decided this year to hire its own Executive Chef.  This person has done a great job and is being transferred to open new projects for the group elsewhere.  They are now looking for another superstar executive chef to take over and run the restaurants in Cabo.   It's a great opportunity as these restaurants are award-winning and highly successful and the company is continuing to grow.

    WHAT THEY SEEK

    • Executive Chef currently with a top luxury hotel/resort or Michelin starred restaurant group or equivalent.
    • Must have experience with Mediterranean cooking and/or California cuisine  
    • Not looking for old school Italian, they want more modern Mediterranian/California style.  Must be Exec Chef, Exec Sous or Chef de Cuisine at a top recognized restaurant or hotel with awards for its food, ie Ritz-Carlton, Michelin, Four Seasons, James Beard etc.

    WHAT YOU GET

    • Net salary (take home) of 7000 USD, might go up to 10,000 USD for someone with a Michelin star
    • Housing allowance negotiable on experience
    • Flights and annual vacation paid
    • Medical insurance paid by the company
    • Family package possible

    Please note: Company will fly finalists there for interview and tasting during August & September - if you apply for the job you must be in a position to take some time off from work to travel there during this period.
