Corporate Chef for Restaurant Group in Kampala, Uganda
ABOUT THE COMPANY
- A growing group of cafe restaurants serving well presented casual cuisine
- 11 outlets with more in the pipeline (9 in Uganda and 2 in Kenya)
- Cafes are all in prime locations
- Owned by a large corporation operating in multiple industries including oil and gas
- Central production kitchen handles much of the food prep
- Great product, a successful company that is expanding but needs a strong analytical chef who can implement SOPS, Software, training, costings etc.
- COO who you would report to is from the US
- 300 staff across the outlets and 60 in the central kitchen
ABOUT THE JOB
- Responsible for implementing SOPS, Software, food costs controls and managing the central kitchen and outlets
- Develop a strong business culture for the group
- Implement training programs, hygiene standards etc for the team
- Hands on in operations
REQUIREMENTS
- Executive chef experience overseeing multiple outlets
- Experience setting up systems for a central production kitchen
- Experience setting up SOPS and kitchen software selection
- available on one month notice or less
- Valid passport
- Very strong on SOPS and systems
