Recruiting and People Operations Specialist

We’re looking for a Recruiting and People Operations Specialist who realizes that the recruiting and HR processes require hustle, creativity, and a relentless eye for detail. If you thrive in a breakneck-paced environment, and you’re not living unless you’re multitasking, please read on. 

About you: 
You’re able and willing to communicate with technical leadership and business clients up to and including the C-Suite. You don’t mind getting your hands dirty with the less glamorous side of recruiting, and you’re able to kick butt with the heavy lifting. You’re also skilled on the People Operations side of the house - you have exposure to the key functions of HR (compensation, benefits, learning and development, compliance, etc.). You’re part business maven, part process implementer, and part psychologist. You’ve never thought to utter the words “But that’s not my job” and you thrive in a meritocracy where hard work is valued, playing hard is encouraged, and you’re encouraged to share your input. 

Responsibilities
  • Manage the all-important candidate experience from scheduling phone/video screens, to coordinating onsite interviews, extending offers, and everything in between.
  • Source for and identify qualified candidates for technical and non-technical roles
  • Review resume submissions from our online postings and recommend to Recruiting Manager when qualified candidates apply.
  • Constantly seek out new and creative ways of sourcing talent from the competitive pool of candidates in the DC area.
  • Track all candidates’ onsite experiences and serve as liaison between Recruiting Manager and candidates. Coordinate candidate travel and expenses.
  • Support the People Operations function through ownership of key processes in compensation, benefits, compliance, communication, learning and development, and information management.
  • Lead, organize, and participate in culture initiatives at Homesnap to improve employee experience. 
  • Communicate professionally with our external clients (candidates) and internal clients (hiring managers and all Homesnappers).
  • Work closely with our Recruiting and People Operations Managers to improve upon existing processes and programs. 
  • Assist with timely and accurate completion of data to all applicant tracking and HR systems and docs
  • Working with People Operations, manage the on-boarding experience and full employee lifecycle 
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times

Who will get this job: 
  • You know how to juggle in a fast paced environment and you pride yourself on keeping all your balls in the air.
  • You 2+ years of experience in HR operations-related tasks such as benefits and payroll administration. 
  • You have 2+ years of experience in the recruiting field - interview coordination, sourcing candidates, and/or interviewing and selection.
  • You’ve gotten your hands on some recruiting tools such as LinkedIn. Even better if you’ve sourced from StackOverflow or GitHub. 
  • You have a strong understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
  • You’re uncompromisingly organized and have a keen eye for the details that others tend to miss.
  • You work and play well with others and can hold your own with senior leadership - you’ve got soft skills for days.
  • You’re self-directed with an unyielding sense of urgency.
  • You’re fun to work with and have an approachable personality that makes it easy for hiring managers and colleagues to engage with you.
  • You know how to improve existing processes and don’t shy away from implementing new ones.
  • You’re tech-savvy and can pick up new technologies and systems with minimal ramp up time.
  • In short, you’re bold, you hustle, and you get along with people from all walks of life.
