What is HITRECORD?
Founded and led by actor and artist Joseph Gordon-Levitt, HITRECORD is an open online community for creative collaboration. Users don’t just post about themselves and vie for attention; they work together on a variety of art and media projects that they couldn’t have completed on their own.
So far, HITRECORD has operated as a successful production company, winning an Emmy for its television show, partnering with numerous brands from Samsung and LG to the ACLU, paying contributing community members a total of nearly three million dollars.
With over 700,000 registered users, our next step is to evolve from a PRODUCTION COMPANY into a PLATFORM.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
HITRECORD is looking for a highly organized, intuitive and responsible person to serve as a temporary six-month art coordinator in its Creative Development Department. The role is designed for individuals with interest and experience in Content Development and Production for Graphic Design, Music, Television, Digital, Branded and more. The ideal candidate will also express interest, knowledge, and experience in graphic design across multiple fields.
You will:
- Work closely with HITRECORD's Director and Manager of Development & Production
- Develop and manage calendar for the creation & distribution of graphic assets
- Manage + maintain Project Development Grids + Tracking Systems
- Support the development and coordination of graphic design & illustration projects - supporting community members, writing creative briefs, communicating with clients, exporting final assets, and managing calendars
- Prepare materials for creative meetings + reviews
- Assist with creation of pitch decks, show bibles + materials
- Curation + awareness of promising material + creative projects
- Be an active member of the HitRECord community and participate in artistic projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Available for a six-month position, and currently living in the greater Los Angeles area
- Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Ability to maintain multiple projects, at different phases in their life cycle, moving forward through their completion
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of time management and organization
- Experience with creative content development and production
- Comfortable solving problems and thinking outside the box
- Mac-savvy, and proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Dropbox, and Calendar
- Strong communication skills, with a passion for working in a collaborative environment
- Understanding of basic animation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internships or production assistance work in the entertainment or creative arts industries
- Passion for illustration and graphic design, along with different artistic fields (music, video creation, writing, etc.)
- Ability to animate basic movements
- Experience interacting with members of a website or similar environment
- Knowledge of optimizing assets for social media, websites, and other online distribution platforms
- Knowledge of HITRECORD’s unique production methodology
- Prior experience creating graphics or illustrations on HITRECORD.org
- Proficiency in Adobe Animate, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.
