DevOps Engineer

We are recruiting a DevOps Engineer for a full-time position with our client, a nationwide family-owned apparel distribution business with excellent benefits. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining their infrastructure, as well as system automation. These systems are the engine that drives the company and will continue the company's year over year growth. 

Due to the company's impressive growth, they have a need to build a full in-house development team. As part of this new development team, your voice will make an immediate impact on the existing projects and plans for the future. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automation and tooling.

You will work directly with the Director of Development and CTO to automate all aspects of the software and IT infrastructure. This is a long term opportunity with a growing company.

Responsibilities: 
  • Handle operational requests on a day to day basis and participate in the team’s on-call rotation 
  • Assist with major incidents from identification and troubleshooting through to service restoration 
  • Troubleshoot issues and discrepancies with the appropriate individuals, teams, or vendors 
  • Build automation and tooling to improve and evolve how the applications and systems are run in the ERP ecosystem 
  • Operate as an advisor to software engineers building, designing, and supporting microservices 
  • Provide subject matter expertise in server and service configuration to teams across the organization 
 
Requirements
  • 5+ years of software and systems support/administration in a Windows production environment 
  • Expertise with development services like Azure DevOps.
  • Previous experience with automation tools like Jenkins.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages and .net architecture 
  • Understanding of web technologies and protocols 
  • Networking knowledge pertaining to cloud, systems, and services 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with your team and stakeholders
