Payroll Administrator

Responsibilities:
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate that employees are paid in accordance to employment contracts.
Responsible for setting up payroll details, including pay controls, rates, tax authority information and other authority information.
Responsible for vacation and sick days validation and update. Update and calculate vacation liability.
Prepare and submit all required Record of Employment (ROE.)
Work closely with managers and Human Resources to address all payroll related issues.
Responsible for payroll year-end duties, i.e. T4, T4 summary, and other year-end forms.
Qualifications:
College or University Degree in related Business Administration, Finance or related field.
General accounting experience considered an asset.
Extremely organized with the ability to prioritize work to meet payroll deadlines in a fast paced environment.
High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (advanced in MS Excel).
Knowledge of payroll accounting and applicable government legislation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented and ability to work to tight timelines.
