Payroll Administrator

Responsibilities:
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate that employees are paid in accordance to employment contracts.
  • Responsible for setting up payroll details, including pay controls, rates, tax authority information and other authority information.
  • Responsible for vacation and sick days validation and update. Update and calculate vacation liability.
  • Prepare and submit all required Record of Employment (ROE.)
  • Work closely with managers and Human Resources to address all payroll related issues.
  • Responsible for payroll year-end duties, i.e. T4, T4 summary, and other year-end forms.
Qualifications:
  • College or University Degree in related Business Administration, Finance or related field.
  • General accounting experience considered an asset.
  • Extremely organized with the ability to prioritize work to meet payroll deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (advanced in MS Excel).
  • Knowledge of payroll accounting and applicable government legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to work to tight timelines.
