Parts/Shipping/Receiving Manager

Responsibilities: 
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment.
  • Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Develops and implements standardized practices for order processing and fulfillment, staff scheduling, inventory, warehouse operations, and shipping/receiving.
  • Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
  • May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities.
  • Complete all required documentation using good documentation practices.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a shipping and/or receiving environment considered an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with a well-developed professional phone manner and a focus on positive, productive business relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up.
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Experience maneuvering and operating a forklift.
  • Computer skills and ability.
