Job brief
We are looking for a Market Development Representative (MDR) to act as the liaison between our Marketing team and Account Executives. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by triaging inbound leads, contacting and developing relationships with potential customers and supporting Account Executives throughout the sales process.
About the Role
Your main focus will be on inbound prospects and marketing qualified leads (MQLs). You will take inbound phone calls, chats, and respond to contact forms/ticket inquiries to assess qualification of a prospect’s needs. You’ll also work closely with Marketing to create personalized email campaigns targeted at curated prospect lists.
- The MDR will become an expert at triaging inbound leads that help open doors in large and mid-size, complex organizations. You'll identify key stakeholders, engage them with a compelling message, and help them understand how our services impact them
- You will be directly responsible for keeping our sales engine running smoothly by partnering with Account Executives to make sure all prospect information is captured and timelines are consistently met.
- Beyond MQL generation, you will help guide prospects through the sales process, including conducting live online platform demos and managing follow up actions in support of Account Executives

What’s involved:
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities (inbound)
- Contact potential clients through, curated emails, social media, and some cold calls (outbound)
- Identify client needs and communicate the impact of our products/services
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
- Report to the Sales Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) results
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
About you
You’re self-motivated and always own the work you do. You’re an excellent communicator, you create compelling messaging that calls prospects to action. You have a good sense of humor and while you take work seriously, you don’t take yourself too seriously. Some of your other qualities and skills include:
- Highly Organized and Effective Task Manager
- Excellent at asking questions and actively listening
- Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
- Track record of achieving MQL quotas
- A genuine interest in Technology/ Business Services Sales within the healthcare, financial services, and CRO market spaces
Nice to Have
- Experience with CRM software (ideally Hubspot)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Experience in healthcare marketing/sales
