At Harbor Compliance, we’re steering companies and nonprofits through the steps needed to achieve their organizational goals. From establishing new startups to helping global brands manage their business licenses nationwide, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people who can deliver an exceptional client experience. Our leaders genuinely want employees and clients to feel not just content, but ridiculously happy. In our sixth year in business, we are experiencing exponential growth and are seeking top performers who share our values of autonomy, transparency, and excellence.
We’re looking for a Systems Analyst to delve into systems requirements, produce specifications, and assist with testing and training. The systems analyst goes beyond the duties of a traditional business analyst by digging into the details of systems requirements to capture a fine-grained understanding of how the enhancement needs to be captured in the user interface, data, business logic, and other code.
Your work is project-based and you will work on multiple projects at once. You are responsible for understanding the underlying business motivation of the project, researching current-state, driving discussions eliciting requirements, conducting your own analysis into complex data and logic, and synthesizing the results into specifications documents that will drive development. You will need to quickly assimilate unfamiliar information and feel comfortable communicating at every level of the organization including directly with developers.
Your ability to serve as a liaison between business conversations and system details, engage in healthy debate, and communicate not just the “what” of the solution but the “why” is key to success.
You will gradually learn the complexities of our application’s business logic, in particular the complexities of business licensing. The analyst who will thrive in this role will enjoy navigating a custom-build, proprietary domain.
As developers or others work on implementing your specifications, you serve as their first contact to resolve questions. You will clarify input and chase down additional input necessary.
You remain engaged with the project through successful roll-out. You may be involved in testing, training, and deployment. Your attitude is that of focusing on successful adoption and may be called on to provide one-on-one support to reinforce the details of the system design.
