About The Role
Handy is seeking a highly analytical leader with product management or e-commerce marketing experience to own a category P&L for cross brand monetization (ie, customers driven to Handy by Angie’s List and HomeAdvisor and vice versa).
This is a unique opportunity to work on Handy’s highest growth revenue stream by launching new services. You will be responsible for the strategy and execution to maximize net revenue, get to know the inner-workings of a fast-growing start-up and have P&L ownership. You will work cross-functionally across departments, including product, marketing, sales, operations and CX to build business cases and bring them to fruition. You will interface regularly with the leadership team at Handy as well as the teams at our sister brands. This is the perfect role for hungry, analytical team-player who wants to grow a nascent, but very high potential new business line from the ground up and sees themselves a future CEO or entrepreneur.
You will devise strategy, build frameworks, structure solutions, and drive and measure results in the most critical areas of the business, while developing as a future leader of the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Own the P&L. You will be responsible for hitting the growth goals, managing your budget, and accurately forecasting.
- Driving expansion and growth. You will create the strategic and financial plan for your new services, and own the execution, including product offering, pricing, promotion and fulfillment.
- Analyzing and measuring impact. Test hypotheses quickly! Conduct data analysis, market research, and user research to identify opportunities. You’ll constantly be looking at (and improving) the metrics.
- Collaborating with internal and external teams. You will have to work closely with people in product, marketing, operations and CX, as well as teams at our sister brands, to succeed.
- Building an organization. As your P&L grows, you will be expected to build out the team to support it.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional experience with evidence of increasing responsibility including (1) project management and (2) budget/P&L ownership and/or ownership of specific KPIs in a high-growth environment
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in an analytical field. MBA a plus
- Prior small company or start-up experience required. Experience with marketplaces or past consulting experience is a plus
- Strategic and tactical experience launching a new product or process from scratch
- Exceptional quantitative skills and aptitude. Deep knowledge of Excel required, and familiarity with databases / SQL a plus
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Will require the ability to create documents and present information to Senior Leadership at Handy and with sister brands
- Desire to build, excitement to test and iterate and comfort with ambiguity
- Creative problem-solver with skills and attitude to work with cross-functional teams and projects
