About the role
This is a unique opportunity to have outsized impact in the Handy organization. We are seeking a highly analytical and process driven Associate Director of Strategy and Operations that reports to the Director of Operations. In this role you will own strategy development, execution and oversight of Handy's key KPI’s to ensure our marketplace operates at the highest level. You will be responsible for identifying gaps and opportunities and working closely with counterparts in Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and Legal to solve challenging problems. In this role, you’ll work on the most critical projects for Handy.
What you’ll do
- Develop the strategy, action plan and execution of the most critical projects within Handy
- Manage, coach and develop a direct report in HQ to assist you on projects
- Own Key Performance Indicators that are the foundation of our business
- Analyze weekly performance, troubleshoot and investigate issues and take action on underlying drivers to ensure targets are met
- Be a driver of change, new policies and processes where you believe is necessary
- Collaborate closely with other teams including product, legal and operations to identify critical issues and develop sustainable solutions
- Lead, coach and invest in the personal development of our team leaders and be a champion of our culture
- Build an engaging and ambitious work environment that’s focused on achieving operational excellence
What we're looking for
- A strong operator who has at least 4+ years of startup experience or 4+ years in top tier consulting
- Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and analysis along with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional quantitative skills and aptitude. Strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with databases and SQL is a plus
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management; must be able to multitask
- A customer-centric leader capable of balancing several priorities
- Willingness to get hands dirty and do whatever it takes to ensure success
- Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced work environment; hack, test and learn mentality; team player
- MBA not required but is a plus
- Experience with Stripe and ZenDesk is a plus
