This milestone gives us more leverage to bring the Handy experience to millions of more customers.
  
About the Role
 
Handy is seeking an operational leader to manage and grow an exciting new vertical. You will be responsible for everything – from building an on the ground operations team to managing the P&L of a multi-million dollar business. Success will require developing, testing and then formalizing new processes in many markets and working closely with the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Handy to grow this vertical very rapidly. This is a chance to own a big piece of a business 
 
What you'll do
The scope of this mandate is broad, and requires an exceptional capacity to prioritize and focus:
  • Own P&L metrics, KPIs and a budget
  • Source, onboard and manage operational project managers on the ground 
  • Drive changes in process to ensure high satisfaction for all users
  • Test hypothesis quickly! Conduct data analysis and market research to identify opportunities.
  • Work closely with external partners to understand requirements
  • Rapidly scale operations nationally to many markets 
     
What we're looking for
  • 5-10 years of professional experience with evidence of increasing responsibility including creating processes for complex operations, and managing people
  •  Bachelor’s degree
  • Interest in running on the ground operations (think real-estate, construction, skilled trades, project management). Prior experience in these fields is a bonus but not required 
  • Prior small company or start-up experience 
  • Strong quantitative skills 
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Will require the ability to create documents and processes clearly 
  • Ability to dig deep into processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Creative problem-solver with excitement to work on cross-functional teams and projects
