Job Description

As a data analyst with a natural curiosity towards the field of data analytics, you will work in a professional, fun, and evolving environment to manage data aspects for assigned customers. You will work cross collaboratively within a team environment to solve problems and identify areas for operational improvement. This role demands strong communication skills, organization, and attention to detail. 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Collect, organize, and manage various types of agronomic and geospatial data in several platforms, databases, web applications, and proprietary software to ensure high data integrity 
  • Understand the entire data life cycle for your customer accounts 
  • Utilize internal tools and best practices for data management and data workflows 
  • Deliver customer reports and other business objectives in a timely manner 
  • Identify issues with data, tools, or deliverables
  • Demonstrate total ownership of your customer accounts
  • Communicate clearly while keeping your audience in mind 
  • Complete other tasks as assigned 
 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, ag economics, geomatics, or a related field
  • At least 1 to 3 years of relevant job experience 
  • Working knowledge of ESRI software and/or QGIS
  • Understanding of geospatial data types and workflows
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills  
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills  
  • Ability to work well independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to manage time effectively while producing timely deliverables 
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and engagement by maintaining a good attitude 

What Will Set You Apart: 
  • Experience with Python, ModelBuilder, or other common GIS scripting languages 
  • Experience with large scale agronomic data sets
