Your Role
  • As Growers’s first internal marketing hire you will have the opportunity to refine and build awareness of a brand at its earliest stages
  • You have deep expertise in all aspects of marketing from persona definition to creating and paid media strategies
  • You have proven experience in building rockstar marketing teams
  • You have experiences that will enable you to build a marketing department within a start-up with a foundation to support growth into a mature department
  • As part of a small team you would not shy away from doing any job you would request your employees to do
  • You are passionate about determining the best way to reach a brand’s audience
  • You have proven success in managing advertising campaigns across multiple channels with clear and up-to-date measurement plans

Your Responsibilities
  • Hire, lead and nurture top-notch marketing talent
  • Define, educate and create marketing strategies surrounding customer personas
  • Select and manage all external resources contracted for marketing efforts
  • Determine the appropriate marketing mix given the businesses strategic goals
  • Build, Execute and Analyze internal marketing budgets (revenue, expense, etc.)
  • Analyze and educate leadership on the effectiveness of marketing
  • Evaluate marketing/sales opportunities specific to the agriculture industry such as Grower meetings, conferences, and trade shows
  • Conduct competitive research with analytic capabilities in collaboration with Product owners
  • Create strong partnerships for supporting sales lead generation efforts
  • Oversee the creative and strategic approach of campaigns, execution, analysis of social media marketing strategy and content marketing
  • Collaborate with Growers Product, CSM, and Sales team to define the competitive marketing plan and pricing strategy
  •  Lead, own and communicate the company’s marketing plans to Growers leadership and parent-company stakeholders

What You Need to Be Qualified for this Role
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 10+ years of professional marketing experience
  • 5+ years successfully running a marketing team with direct reports and budgets
  • 5+ years managing paid marketing campaigns
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well and manage both internal and external teams in both written and oral communication
  • Advanced understanding of technical products with strength in communicating the value and features simply and clearly
  • Experience leading and/or participating in the creation of style guides, brand standards, collateral with a consistent aesthetic for a cohesive marketing experience
  • Desire to work in a small agile team and participate in cross-functional collaboration
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional and proactive work ethic
  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook and Google Suite

What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • You have worked in both large, structured marketing departments, and small, less structured departments 
  • Experience within the agriculture or farming industry
