Groundwork Coffee specializes in batch-roasted, certified organic coffees and artisanal teas. From our humble roots as a rare book store and cafe back in 1990, Groundwork would go on to become one of the first certified organic coffee roasters in Southern California, as well as the largest organic coffee roaster in Los Angeles. A truly local pioneer in fair trade and fairly traded coffee and tea sourcing, we remain committed to sustainable business practices, including maintaining direct relationships with growers and importers who promote responsible coffee and tea production.

About You:
We are looking for an experienced Channel Marketing Manager who will work closely with the Groundwork Coffee Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute customer specific marketing programs intended to drive brand awareness, distribution, and revenue growth in Groundwork’s Grocery and Wholesale channels.

What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate all Grocery and Wholesale related projects related to product launches, expansions, promotions, and partnerships.
- Participate in planning meetings with Sales and Marketing teams to identify customer and channel priorities for national and regional programs.
- Develop and execute channel-specific customer presentations, sell-in materials, and business reviews.
- Initiate and manage the development of trial-driving promotional tools including coupons, point-of sale materials, loyalty programs, displays, and digital tactics, ensuring alignment to the brand’s visual identity.
- Develop strong, collaborative partnerships with key retailer marketing contacts.
- Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop campaigns that drive profitable sales and revenue for Grocery and Wholesale channels.
- Translate shopper, consumer, and store data into actionable insights.
- Develop tracking and reporting systems for Grocery and Wholesale marketing campaigns, including boosted social media posts, targeted emails, and in-store promotions
- Plan and execute channel specific trade shows.
What It Takes To Work Here:
We’re looking for someone who is a self-starter and learner with a hands-on approach, a good sense of prioritization, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- 3-5 years of marketing, sales, and/or commercial experience in the CPG industry.
- Food or beverage experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of current grocery- and wholesale-related marketing concepts, strategy and best practices.
- Experience with syndicated data, SPINS, Nielsen or IRI.
- Ability to travel up to 20% for customer/market visits, trade shows and sales meetings
