What You’ll Add to Shippo

Shippo is looking for an experienced Carrier Operations Manager to join our Carrier Operation team. You have knowledge & expertise in shipping carriers from both a business and technical perspective. You will work directly with carrier representatives and our teams in Carrier Operation, engineering, marketing, customer support, and business development. Your deep understanding of carriers and the shipping industry will empower us to build integrations faster, offer more and better features services, strengthen our relationships with our carriers network,  sign more customers, and shape the product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the different products and services offered by each carrier in our network and the various requirements and restrictions to shipping with that carrier. Help to prioritize projects/tasks and coordinate work across multiple teams and partners.
  • Work with carriers to apply for and maintain developer access to APIs, documentation, and technical support.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and external knowledgebase on carriers.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer support to roll out new carrier integrations, and update to new versions of Carrier’s API, and manage compliance with FAQs, Help center articles, and Developer documentation.
  • Assist account management and business development with our customers and prospects’ carrier specific questions.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to define carrier integration requirements, expand service offerings,  and remove blockers during development. 
  • Manage Carrier onboarding onto Shippo's carrier library (Shippo’s Carrier API)


Requirements:

  • Degree in a technical field 
  • Ability to communicate at a high, conceptual level and granular, technical level.
  • Organized and attention to detail. 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, a fast-paced environment, and shifting priorities.
  • Driven and willing to go the extra mile for customer happiness.
  • Collaborative, dependable, and kind.
  • Preference for familiarity with the shipping industry and carriers.
  • Preference for experience writing code and/or integrations with 3rd party APIs.
