Gorilla Group is seeking an SEO Specialist to set and execute strategies that improve the organic rankings and search volume for B2B and B2C clients. This role is responsible for evaluating client business objectives and digital marketing goals to deliver performance-based programs for owned media, including on-page optimization, organic search campaigns, technical SEO enhancements, link building and keyword strategy.
To be successful in this role, you will keep an active pulse on digital trends and tactics and maintain exceptional hands-on technical SEO knowledge. You will be responsible for creating, implementing, and optimizing short and long-term SEO initiatives to drive search engine rankings, organic traffic, online engagement and website conversions for multiple clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site optimization services related to page titles, URLs, structured data, redirects, internal link structures, SEO copy editing, and sitemaps review/maintenance.
- Provide technical SEO services including site audits, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and recommendations on web page structure as it relates to SEO.
- Perform keyword research and competitive analysis to identify organic strategies that facilitate our clients in reaching their goals.
- Work with paid and content specialist to create cohesive interactions between paid, owned, and earned media.
- Work with Insights team to monitor, track, and analyze ranking performance on an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
- Work with development team to create and execute site migration, content, and redirect strategies for large and complex websites.
- Keep abreast of the latest SEO tools and techniques and communicate learnings to non-SEO experts in a mentoring role.
Skills & Requirements
- 3+ years hands on technical SEO in a full time capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or other related field preferred
- Proven track record of driving results (SERP rank, traffic, engagement and conversions)
- Proficient in digital analytics platforms (e.g. Google, Adobe, Salesforce)
- Knowledge of multiple CMS platforms (e.g. Magento, Hybris, AEM)
- Expertise in reporting and analysis tools (e.g. Google Analytics/Console, Bing Search Console, Screaming Frog, Moz, SpyFu, AHREF).
- Expertise in technical SEO tools such as SEMRush, and Moz.
- Clear communication skills in all expected channels (e.g. verbal, email, powerpoint, in-person)
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and other programming languages as they relate to SEO
- Prior agency or consulting experience is preferred
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to collaborate with a variety of teams including website management, analytics, business intelligence, content, design, and engineering
