Regulatory & Compliance Manager

As a member of goPuff’s Compliance Team, the Regulatory and Compliance Manager will report to goPuff’s Director of Compliance. This individual will be responsible for managing the permitting team and guiding that team’s efforts in the application, issuance and renewal of all permits and licenses required for operation of goPuff’s facilities nationwide. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads the permits and licenses department and oversees the development of the permit coordinators, which is approximately 4-5 team members.
  • Responsible for identifying and maintaining metrics to understand and advance the permit application process of all facilities at all stages.
  • Leads effort to baseline work processes associated with permit applications and renewals and seeks ways to continuously improve the processes to make it more efficient and effective.
  • Develops action plans for operations built on each facility’s permit requirements to maintain compliance.
  • Builds strong relationships and networks across various functions to support the process and meet company objectives and growth requirements for opening new locations.
  • Active involvement in the management of change of permitting resources and site plans to maintain compliance.
  • Organizes and leads the training of site resources to raise awareness of permitting requirements at their facility and ensuring their  understanding of maintaining compliance.
  • Leads effort to develop new or revised corporate standards for the competency and maintains existing standards and processes.
  • Executes implementation plan for any new standards, procedures or guidelines to support regulatory requirements.
  • Promotes consistency in the audit program by conducting field inspections and site audits and participates in regulatory inspections.
  • Reviews, analyzes and responds as appropriate to 2nd & 3rd party audit findings and action plans for the competency; participates in the development of audit protocols across compliance..
  • Provides guidance to site resources on managing permit and regulatory compliance for operations..
  • Provides technical support to sites in an effort to identify and determine appropriate action to resolve regulatory risks and incident investigations.
  • Provides training to site resources based on site responsibilities associated with air quality management, fuel and product storage and handling, and other related compliance topics.
  • Assist site and operations resources with the development and implementation of site policies and procedures related to best practices.
  • Benchmarks company performance to relevant industries and lifts up to leadership any deficiencies in internal programs.
  • Responsible for record-keeping and proper reporting of metrics and key performance indicators..
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications: 

  • Ability to interpret local, state, and federal regulations and experience implementing regulatory requirements.
  • Strong track record in the competency.
  • Training or teaching experience. 
  • Interpersonal skills to work successfully within a team-based system.
  • Periodic offsite travel required.
  • Basic computer skills.
