Prepare all periodic forms filed with the SEC (Forms 10Q, 10K and 8K).
Prepare earnings releases and scripts in connection with investor calls.
Prepare and maintain detailed work papers to support disclosures included in consolidated financial statements and SEC Filings.
Prepare statement of cash flows
Coordinate information requests within the Company to compile all information necessary to prepare financial statement disclosures and required SEC disclosures.
Analyze new accounting pronouncements to determine their impact on the Company and assist with their implementation.
Coordinate activities with external auditors to support their audit and review procedures.
Assist in the development and documentation of financial controls, policies and procedures.
Assist with ad hoc projects and prepare responses to various requests for information
Qualifications:
Accounting or finance degree required
Certified Public Accountant
Background should include at least 5 years working for a Big 4 public accounting firm or another major firm with a minimum of 8 years of overall work experience. It is preferred that this individual has also worked outside of a public accounting firm for at least 2 years
Strong background in SEC reporting is required including either heavy experience with multiple SEC clients while working in public accounting or currently responsible for producing SEC documents for a public company
Knowledge and solid experience with SEC Rules and Regulations and related financial disclosures for a public company
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy and exactitude
Ability to successfully meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of Oracle ERP is preferred
High technical aptitude with Excel and other software tools.
