Overview:
Our client is looking for a UX Researcher for Mobile Checkout to join the Digital Transformation Team. You’re joining a multidisciplinary team of product directors, product managers, and digital analysts to create product listings across the top eCommerce marketplaces.
Lead user research projects to gain customers insights, build empathy, and test product designs. Contribute to multiple, concurrent research projects as a member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary, user experience research and design practice.
We are preferred supplier to 7-Eleven. This position may be available for conversion to full time employment upon successful evaluation of performance. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, eclectic environment of talented professionals who are leading the industry in digital capabilities.
Responsibilities:
· Plan and conduct user research online, in the field, and in the office
· Synthesize data from a variety of sources (primary and secondary research, analytics tools) into actionable insights that lead to good recommendations for product UX improvement
· Produce persona profiles, task workflows, mental models, research project summaries, usability test reports, and other UX research deliverables and artifacts
· Assist cross-functional teams in selecting and planning user research activities appropriate for learning goals in alignment with product roadmaps and other business needs
· Strategically plan to build customer empathy and acquire insights that are qualitative or quantitative, attitudinal or behavioral based on the needs of the team
· Increase the level of ‘conscious competency’ in user research and related skills throughout the enterprise by educating, evangelizing, training, coaching, and mentoring others
· Significant travel is unlikely, but the position may require up to 20% travel
Specific Knowledge & Skill Needed for Position:
· Candidate must present a strong portfolio or case studies with user experience research artifacts and synthesized insights
· Expertise with modern research tools such as UserZoom, UserTesting.com, Optimal Sort, Qualtrics, etc.
· Can select, organize and lead a wide variety of UX Research activities, such as: usability tests, customer interviews, diary studies, A/B testing, clickstream analysis, intercept surveys, etc.
· Comfortable with “lean” research approaches, conducting hasty user research activities to generate quick insights.
· Standards and Best Practices: can provide continuity in our enterprise-wide approach to customer research; be a champion for consistency in the application of UX Research standards
· Thought Leadership: can act as a primary resource for up-to-date UX Research knowledge and industry trends
· ‘Fully-brained’: balance creative intuition and innate capabilities (right-brained) with rigorous analysis and thoughtful research rationale (left-brained)
· Strong English and UX writing skills are required (our team does not have a dedicated UX writer; correct grammar, clear labeling, and consistent voice-and-tone in English are shared responsibilities of all UX team members)
