Group Director, Media and Custom Partnerships

Reports to the Managing Director

The role requires a deep level of commitment to support our current roster of global clients while designing new communication strategies that attract new partners. You will also work closely with our publishing partners to build strong partnerships and differentiated content distribution and measurement programs, and ensure our clients are aware of all media opportunities that will amplify their messages.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive media strategy solutions for our partners through deep understanding of their businesses and the market challenges they face
  • Pioneer new ideas/practices across publishing landscape and internally
  • Maintain relationships with partners’ and publishers’ senior level management
  • Introduce and formalize new ways to measure the effectiveness of holistic media plans especially those with a strong content component
  • Effectively present ideas or solutions internally/externally with an ability to command attention and manage group dynamics through compelling communications
  • Proactively support development of our team members to enhance skills and enable them to reach their full potential
  • Work cross-functionally with management team and departments

Qualifications:
  • BA or equivalent experience required
  • 12+ years of media planning across all formats or equivalent business experience
  • 4+ years management level experience
  • Publisher experience is preferred
  • Experienced in content partnerships and publisher/client joint business plans, programmatic, and audience-based planning and buying
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid financial acumen and business expertise
