Test Development Engineer - NVMe SSD

As a Validation/Test Development Engineer, you will be a part of our Globalme team to work with our client, a multinational enterprise company in a validation team, to ensure that next generation Non-Volatile memory products meet the design requirements. This 6-month opportunity will be located on-site at our client’s Vancouver, Canada location and requires a month of training in Folsom, USA. The expected start date is January 2nd, 2019.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Developing test content, test plans, test strategies and validation tests for the non-volatile memory products
  • Debug and triage of failures related to non-volatile memory products
  • Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to debug and resolve complex issues
  • Developing infrastructure integration and automation scripts for a new test platform
  • Developing and enhancing automation for non-volatile memory drive preparation and recovery
  • Work with a cross-functional team to solve complex problems

Technical skills you have:
  • 4+ experience in Python, C, or C++ programming skills on embedded RISC microprocessors in windows development environments
  • Experience with embedded system and software validation/development tools (scripting languages, debug tools, FW development environments nice to have)
  • Experience with low-level programming, system architecture,  unit and system level test and verification
  • Experience in validation coverage analysis and the resolution of coverage gaps
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills, innovative thinking, and a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Experience of working with SSDs, Flash Memory, NAND flash memory products, ASIC, FPGA, and validation is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science Degree or related concentration, equivalent and/or combination of education and work experience
