Jr. Social Strategist Job Description

The Social Strategist should be someone who is obsessive over culture, the newest social platforms, and audience trends. The ideal candidate has previous agency experience working with cross-functional teams and is ready to support Giant Spoon’s social teams, implementing best practices and acting as a subject matter expert within the agency. This person will be comfortable supporting in communication with clients, possess strong strategic ability and be highly detailed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all content management, inclusive of: 
  • Working with creative team to ensure best practices 
  • Keeping track of all versions of the content 
  • Posting content to social channels 
  • Working with paid media team to ensure paid social campaigns are implemented appropriately
  • Manage and continually update social guidelines, processes, and best practices for all social platforms, including emerging trends and technologies, subsequently sharing knowledge clearly and concisely to both agency and client partners
  • Collaborate with Senior Social Strategists to write briefs and participate in briefings with creative team 
  • Monitor client’s owned social channels in order to provide insights on consumer feedback
  • Become the expert our clients’  business within social and provide timely competitive updates or compile competitive audits as necessary 

DESIRED SKILLS

  • 2-4 years of social marketing experience with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Agency experience required
  • Experience with content management and social listening tools such as Spredfast and Crimson Hexagon 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams inclusive of media, creative, and analytics
  • Working knowledge around all platforms paid social media and influencer engagement
  • Ability to work under deadlines and stay focused simultaneously on the big picture and the smallest details
  • Strong organizational abilities, including time and resource management
  • Open to travel as necessary
