E-Commerce Data Analytics Manager

  • We have an opportunity for an experienced data-driven individual that will be responsible for analytics related to key e-commerce and retail accounts. This person will align with marketing to develop and provide customer focused content and data solutions that support the nature of standalone e-commerce and online catalog customers. This position will determine strategies for the market to help support revenue growth through descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain analytical support strategies and modeling for retail and related online sales accounts to grow revenue targets.
    • Assist in the monitoring and response of customer questions as well as positive and negative feedback on customer websites.
    • Oversee and run promotions and marketing activities utilizing customer analytic tools and data.
    • Support brick and mortar retailers through in-store and online sales initiatives to most effectively promote their products.
    • Develop strategic opportunities by studying market and competitive activities and trends.
    • Collect market intelligence on product and pricing levels to ensure competitive position.
    • Work with Creative, Marketing, and Product teams to determine products best suited to the retail sales channels by tracking sell through and performance by market.
    • Understand, investigate, and evaluate new ways of generating additional traffic and rank through product placement, optimized images, and keywords.
    • Provide data for use in the forecasting and budgeting processes, utilizing customer data and predictive analytics that map and project trends.
    • Actively utilize available sales tools and technology (CRM, DB2 or sales reporting, as well as statistical software options and data visualizations).
    Education /Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or other related area and 3+ years of experience in sales/marketing, with emphasis in the B2B and B2B2C ecommerce segment.
    • Knowledge on emerging trends in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics techniques, including development of algorithms to create predictive models.
    • Skills in optimization modeling, forecasting, segmentation, and discriminant analysis are required.
    • Must be results-focused, motivated self-starter, detail oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple projects.
    • Strong understanding of Affiliate and Social Media Marketing.
    • Ability to collaborate with multiple internal teams to create strategies and plans to maximize sales of managed accounts.
