Associate Account Manager

  • Duties & Responsibilities

    Leads team of Associate Account Managers to deliver travel management servicing solutions to include:

    • Serves as small account business owner and interacts on a regular basis with clients’ travel managers, executive directors, and senior managers of divisions
    • Consolidated reporting & standard reporting setup
    • Vendor contracts evaluation and performance
    • Client training needs on ADTRAV tools
    • Assists with client press release updates and compiling pertinent company news
    • Client points tracking management
    • Assist Global Account Management team members with review data and presentation preparation
    • Supports Director with projects as assigned
    • Collaborates with Operations Managers in assessing the service delivery and solutions to accounts
    • Works with Accounting and Finance in preparing and ensuring the accuracy of client monthly statements
    • Manages the individual client profitability and impact to the company
    • Works closely with the Project Manager on implementations to ensure smooth transition
    • Reviews and analyzes client data and presents strategic recommendations on an ongoing basis establishing mutual program goals
    • Manages the relationship matrix through penetration of the organization and the introduction of ADTRAV Travel Management’s resources and executives
    • Maintains a client retention goal of 99% or higher
    • Identifies opportunities for the addition of value-added services and increased product sales

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • College degree preferred or equivalent related work experience
    • Proven account management skills which have been demonstrated for a preferable minimum of two (2) years in the travel industry, or related service industry
    • Presentation skills preferred
    • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
    • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
    • Proven oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external audiences
    • Possess strong negotiation skills to assist in obtaining best possible contractual terms
    • Ability to analyze and evaluate data in order to identify opportunities to reduce costs and to recommend appropriate solutions
    • Ability to consult with external clients in an advisory role, to provide direction, execute and measure results
    • Problem solving skills encompassing the ability to listen, identify the root problem, present appropriate alternative solutions and determine the best solution using a systematic approach
    • Basic mathematical and analytical skills for interpretation of data, trends and opportunities
    • Must be able to travel to visit clients as needed
