Position Overview

As the Guest Experience Coordinator, you are the face of Geocaching HQ to visitors from all over the world. 

You will <literally> hold down the fort, in the HQ Visitor Center. As a natural social organizer, you will provide a positive and memorable experience for all guests at Geocaching HQ. 


What You’ll Do

  • Provide world class guest service to visitors and HQ employees, from answering questions (big and small) to offering local recommendations of things to do and see.
  • Steward the HQ geocaches, ensuring that they are up-to-date and well maintained
  • Act as the point person for administrative tasks related to Geocaching HQ’s reception area
  • Support HQ merchandise program, including managing retail space and operating POS system
  • Promote and enhance Geocaching HQ’s professional identity through interactions with visitors
  • Edit, update, and manage visitor information systems and scheduling
  • Collaborate with other departments on special initiatives and projects
  • Act as the point person for administrative tasks related to Geocaching HQ’s reception area
  • Manage and respond to requests for event donations and gifts
  • Communicate regularly with geocachers across multiple channels, answering customer service questions
  • Problem solve and herd cats, as required

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project or task from beginning to end
  • Proficiency with databases, web applications, and Google docs

Bonus Points
  • 1 to 3 years relevant experience
  • Fluency in German, French, or Dutch is preferred
