Gentis Solutions is seeking a Business Development Executive. The ideal candidate will have experience with B2B sales in the Logistics industry.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of freight brokerage experience preferred.
- 5+ years of B2B sales in transportation, brokerage or a similar technical industry is required.
- 10+ years of industry experience.
- Experience using CRM product is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and other software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills over the phone, through written communication, and in person.
- Ability to set and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with and persuade C-Level suite.
- Strong analytical skills.
Position Duties:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Secure and maintain new business.
- Independently identify and generate new sales opportunities.
- Pre-sale duties include preparing action plans, customizing presentations, and performing pre-call research and analysis to develop senior level relationships with target accounts in order to understand prospect business needs and where the Company fits in their overall logistics strategy.
- Apply business and industry knowledge and understand how key factors impact customer’s business strategies and organizational structure to identify and offer logistic sales solutions to meet customers’ needs.
- Engage customers and develop value propositions that meet their needs, identify and acquire volume from new customers, increase volume from existing customers, and manage implementation.
- Maintain awareness of competitive environment by conducting analyses of competitors’ offerings and strategies.
- Work with management in accurately forecasting and delivering profitable sales for territory.
- Collaborate internally with team on pricing strategy and account implementation plans.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and assist to satisfactorily resolve account management issues after the sale.
- Establish credit terms with clients in coordination with company goals and directives.
- Manage individual sales funnel information regarding all prospective customers in Microsoft CRM.
- Review weekly/monthly sales activities and prospective customers with Management.
- Engage in self-development & training opportunities, both internal & external.
- In conjunction with the management team, develop sales strategies to cultivate sales opportunities.
- Work closely with operational staff on business implementation, account management and overall account support.
- Must be able to independently identify new Enterprise leads and customers.
