Gentis Solutions is seeking a Support Analyst with hands on experience in troubleshooting POS systems.
Required Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience with Linux (upgrading OS, installing applications, scripting)
- 2-3 years of experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- 2-3 years of experience analyzing software upgrade issues
- 2-3 years of experience with server upgrades
- Good to have – familiar with Ansible and Puppet/Spacewalk, POS
Position Duties:
- Assists with Application installations, specifically for the Point of Sale at the store.
- Performing some manual tasks that vary per rollout.
- Troubleshoot and analyze upgrade issues.
- Work with IST Triage support to upgrade OS and Application. Analysts would escalate issues as they occur and suggest mitigation steps.
- Tasks could also include: Executing SQL statements or scripts, Executing Unix commands, Installing apps, Documenting actions taken.
- Assists with Linux upgrade installations, specifically for the in-store server (ISS).
- Analyst should be able to independently troubleshoot and analyze installation issues.
- Work with POS Triage Analysts to support the upgrade of the OS and applications.
